The first glimpse of the device came yesterday, courtesy of an anonymous tipster, revealing a ruggedized Galaxy S6 spin-off.
Today comes a new batch of press renders, giving us a more refined view of the upcoming handset, as leaked by prolific rumour-spinner ‘evleaks’.
There are two versions on show – one white, one black – both of which use a digital camo pattern on the rear.
It’s clear that both devices are using ultra-thick casing too, which is typical of the ‘Active’ series.
It’s likely that this will offer all manner of proofing, including waterproofing, dustproofing, and shockproofing.
There are also three ‘hard’ buttons on the front of the device, which suggests we won’t see a fingerprint scanner on the rear of the device.
The specs, while not detailed in the leak, are expected to remain largely similar to the flagship Samsung Galaxy S6 handset the Active is based on.
It’s expected that the Active may carry a bigger battery however – 3,500mAh, or so reports say - as well as a MicroSD slot for bonus storage.
