The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State has announced its resolve to appeal the Court of Appeal judgement on its petition challenging the election of Mr. Ayo Fayose in the June 21, 2014 governorship poll at the Supreme Court.
APC’s state publicity secretary, Taiwo Olatubosun, in a statement yesterday in Ado Ekiti said that though the court ruled in Fayose’s favour, it is gratifying that judicial declaration was given to the party’s complaint on illegal deployment of soldiers to harass and intimidate the opposition during the election.
APC said it succeeded in proving that Fayose was legally impeached in 2006 as resolved by the Appeal Court in its judgement and expressed confidence that the law will take its course in the final determination of the matter at the court.
